VolleySkills is the perfect opportunity for your child to learn the basic skills and fundamentals of the game of volleyball. The one-hour class, instructed by the Sports Academy's first-class coaches, provides children in grades 2-5 an atmosphere of fun, games, and friends. To ensure a spot in an upcoming VolleySkills program, be sure to register well in advance.

Please DO NOT use Safari as the web browser when registering for a program. The settings in Safari do not currently integrate with the registration software.

SSA Volleyball Health Protocol

 

Screening Campers Upon Arrival 

  • All players will have their temperature taken prior to entering the facility.  Players who have a fever of 100.40 (38.00C) or above or other signs of illness will not be admitted to the facility.

  • A hand hygiene station will be set up at the entrance of the facility, and campers must clean their hands before they enter.  

  • Parents are encouraged to be on the alert for signs of illness in their children and to keep them home when they are sick. 

  • Anyone who has been in contact with COVID-19 in the past 14 days should not attend.

  • Players are not required to wear face masks. 

 

Spectator Requirements

  • All spectators will be required to wear a face mask inside the facility. 

  • All spectators will have their temperature taken prior to entering the facility.  Individuals who have a fever of 100.40 (38.00C) or above or other signs of illness will not be admitted to the facility.

  • A hand hygiene station will be set up at the entrance of the facility, all individuals must clean their hands before they enter.  

  • Bleacher seating will be available and designated areas will be marked to maintain social distancing. 

  • Personal Chairs will NOT be permitted inside the facility. 

  • Anyone who has been in contact with COVID-19 in the past 14 days should not attend.

 

Groups, activities and equipment

  • Players will be assigned to groups of no more than 12 and will remain with the same group throughout the session.

  • Each group will be designated a court and will be the only group to use their designated area.

  • In cases where groups use the same area, only one group at a time will use the common area and steps will be taken between each group to clean high touch areas.

  • Any equipment that needs to be used by multiple groups will be sanitized between usage. 


Facility Cleaning and Disinfecting

  • Players will be given an opportunity to wash/sanitize their hands throughout the day.

  • All bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized each day.

  • No more than 3 players are allowed in the bathroom at a time.

  • CDC guidance will be adhered to at all times and signage will be posted throughout the facility.

  • All equipment will be sanitized after each use, and at the end of the day.

Volleyball and SSA Staff

  • All Volleyball staff will have their temperatures taken prior to entering the facility to begin their shift.

  • All Volleyball staff are asked to stay home if they feel sick or have a temperature. 

  • All Volleyball staff will take everyday preventive actions to prevent the spread of any diseases or illness.

  • All Volleyball staff will wash hands often with soap and water or use use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol.

Attire

  • Players must wear athletic shoes with socks to camp every day.
  • T-shirts and shorts are considered proper attire.  

Water Bottles

  • All players must bring their own water, or other liquid, to the facility.  You also have the option of purchasing liquids from the vending machines but you must have the exact change.  The water fountains will not be available.
