Suwanee Sports Academy (SSA) COVID-19 FACILITY PROTOCOL
Out of an abundance of caution, and in accordance with guidelines from the Governor’s
Executive Order (dated May 2, 2020) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
(CDC), we have implemented the following protocols within our facility. Keep in mind, that the
guidelines are constantly changing and we will adjust this protocol when changes are released.

Daily Protocol

• All SSA staff will have their temperatures taken prior to entering the facility to begin
their shift.
• SSA staff will take everyday preventive actions to prevent the spread of any diseases
or illness.
• Wash hands often with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with
at least 60% alcohol.
• Wear face covering when in the facility when the 6-foot Social Distancing rule cannot
be maintained.
• Wear disposable gloves when necessary.
• Visitors will have their temperature taken prior to entering the facility. Persons who
have a temperature of 100.4 degrees, or higher, will not be permitted to enter the
facility.
• Only participants that have a reserved court will be allowed in the facility. You must
remain outside the facility until an SSA staff member screens you.
• All visitors must sanitize their hands prior to beginning any activities.
• Visitors will only use the designated bathrooms.
• Visitors will only use the designated Entrance and Exit.
• After cleaning their hands, players must place their bag and personal items in a
designated area allowing at least 6' between everybody else's personal items. (If
applicable)
• All participants must bring their own water, or other liquid, to the facility. You also
have the option of purchasing liquids from the vending machines but you must have
the exact change. The water fountain will not be available for use.
• Coaches must always monitor their players. You are only allowed to use the
designated court for your players. (If applicable)
• All bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized several times throughout the day.
Bathrooms will be monitored for cleanliness throughout the day by the SSA staff.
• No more than 3 people in a bathroom at a time. This number may change due to the
nature of the event.
• Anyone that gets sick while in the facility, will be asks not remain in the Isolation
Room until they can leave the facility. (Adults will leave when they are able and kids
will wait until parents pick them up)

The Governor’s Executive Order and the CDC guidance will be adhered to at all times
and signage will be posted throughout the facility.

Summer Camp Protocol

Parent Drop-Off and Pick-Up
• Camp staff will meet your child outside as they arrive. Parents will drive up to
the designated area to drop off and should remain in the vehicle.
• Parents will receive a number tag to keep in their car on the first day. The
number tag will be used to identify parents each day for pick-up.
• A hand hygiene station will be set up at the entrance of the facility, and campers
must clean their hands before they enter.
• For pick-up, parents will drive up to the designated pick-up area with their tag
number displayed in the windshield. A staff member will escort the child out to
the vehicle.
Screening Campers Upon Arrival
• All campers will have their temperature taken prior to entering the
facility. Campers who have a fever of 100.40 (38.00C) or above or other signs
of illness will not be allowed to enter the facility.
• Parents are encouraged to be on the alert for signs of illness in their children
and to keep them home when they are sick.
• Anyone who has been in contact with COVID-19 in the past 14 days should not
attend.
Groups, activities, and equipment
• Campers will be assigned to groups of no more than 10 and will remain with the
same group throughout the day. (subject to change based on guidelines)
• Each group will be designated a court and will be the only group to use their
designated area.
• In cases where groups use the same area, only one group at a time will use the
common area and steps will be taken between each group to clean high touch
areas.
• Drills and activities will be prioritized to maintain some level of social distancing
(6-feet apart).
• Any equipment that needs to be used by multiple groups will be sanitized
between usage.
• All campers must bring their own water, or other liquid, to the facility. You also
have the option of purchasing liquids from the vending machines but you must
have the exact change. The water fountain, or water coolers, will not be used.

Facility Cleaning and Disinfecting
• Campers will be given an opportunity to wash/sanitize their hands throughout
the day.
• All bathrooms will be cleaned and sanitized several times throughout the day.
• No more than 2 campers are allowed in the bathroom at a time. (subject to
change)
• All equipment will be sanitized after each use, and at the end of the day.
Camp Staff
• All Camp staff will have their temperatures taken prior to entering the facility to
begin their shift.
• All camp staff are asked to stay home if they feel sick or have a temperature.
• All camp staff will take everyday preventive actions to prevent the spread of any
diseases or illness.

• All camp staff will wash hands often with soap and water or use an alcohol-
based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

• Camp staff are required to have mask, and gloves, on hand throughout the day
and will wear them when the 6-foot Social Distancing Rule cannot be
maintained.
